The heart of a service organization is its people. All members of PFARS are dedicated individuals working together to provide countless hours of service to the community. PFARS’ reputation for providing high quality emergency care is a direct result of attracting intelligent individuals looking to gain valuable life experience, learn new skills and care for the community and its members. PFARS provides training and an operational structure geared towards developing strong patient care providers and community leaders.
PFARS is comprised of both volunteer and career members working side by side. The success of the organization has come largely through this combined effort, which is unusual in this industry. PFARS acts as an extended family for many of the members, who also learn valuable life lessons that benefit them personally and professionally. Some life members began their membership as cadets while in high school and have continued over ten years later. If you are looking for a positive life experience and a place to gain friendships, then PFARS may be the right choice for you. As the heart of the organization, PFARS members have built and grown our organization for 70 years. Members contribute to the organization in many different ways. While the majority are active riding members, we also accept members who fill specific roles that support the organization. To see our various types of membership, click here.
